Gingerbread
Party
This project is being revamped this year by the chair/chairs of this event.
Our idea is to cut back on the amount of gifts given to each child and to
solicit those gifts/shopping cards from the public at large so that we do
not spend JA money on gifts. Hours will be gained by chairing and planning
certain aspects of this large project, working at the actual event,
providing items for the event, and by helping prepare food baskets for the
families. A.M. & P.M. hours. Week days & Weekends. |
|
Hygiene Kits
This project will help
children at a local elementary school with Hygiene products. We would like to solicit
supplies from our members and the community by hosting a “supply drive.”

Reading Is Fun
(RIF)
Details on this project are yet to be
determined, but our idea is to buddy up the Downtown Kiwanis in this effort.

Focus
Family: Baby Kane
This project includes providing the
basic necessities such as food during times of crisis, school supplies,
school clothes, gifts, phone cards or gift cards according to specific
needs. Hours would be gained by preparing meal items, and shopping or and
purchasing specific items as determined by the chairs. A.M. and P.M.
hours. Week days and Weekends. |
|
Rivers & Spires
This project will require a similar
commitment to that of this year. We would be involved in the children’s
area furnishing games, crafts or other exciting activities for the children
of our community. We will produce a JA flyer showcasing our organization
and our commitment to children of Clarksville/Montgomery County. Hours will
be obtained by preparing/providing items needed for the games or activities
and by working at the actual event. A.M. and P.M. hours needed. Week days
and Weekends. |

Coats for Kids
This project involves collecting coats (both new and gently used) for
children ages 0 to 18. Coats collected will be donated to Montgomery County
Department of Children's Services for distribution at their discretion.

Hospital Books
Details are yet to be determined by the chair and her
volunteers. We would like to provide books at Gateway Medical Center
that the children will take home when they leave.
